Jeddah Digital Twin Geospatial Data and GIS Project (2.400 km  )

2

The Jeddah Digital Twin Project, which runs from 2019 to 2023, accomplished major milestones. The thorough construction of ground control stations to assure accuracy was the initial step. Aerial imagery acquisition, with a ground sampling distance (GSD) of 7.5cm, laid the groundwork for detailed mapping. This project included the creation of Digital Surface Models (DSM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), Digital Elevation Models (DEM), and true orthophotos, all of which supported digital mapping capabilities. The project's innovation included the development of a 3D Digital Twin as well as 3D terrain representations. The project's sophistication was increased via data integration and conversion, while the design and deployment of a geodatabase and geoportal facilitated information management and accessibility. In conclusion, the Jeddah Digital Twin Project demonstrated proficiency in spatial services and mapping technology.
